Ronderosa Records is the brainchild of Boston's Ronnie I, who thirty years ago packed his guitar and a couple of pairs of jeans and headed west. Settling in Venice California, the relocated east coast boy set about conquering the LA club scene with his newly formed band, Borderline.

Success soon followed with standing room only appearances at such LA Music landmarks as The Roxy, The Improv, Madam Wongs, The Central, The Golden Bear, Club 88, FM Club, The Whiskey, The Troubadour and Johnny Depp's Viper Room.

Local radio DJ's fell in love with the band and soon Ronnie I penned classics such as Atomic Love and Little Miss User were blasting out of LA area radios.

Capitol Records, in-house publishing unit Beachwood Music soon signed Ronnie I.

And the rest as they say is history.

Skip ahead 5 years.

By this time Ronnie I was missing the excitement of performing live which led him to form Big Easy.

Several years of touring to sold out houses followed.

By this point, several of the band members had decided to settle down and start families. Kids and house payments did not fit well into the life of a touring musician, so Big Easy retired from the road and settled in balmy Redondo Beach.

The gigs still flowed except now they were closer to home.

Right about this time, Ronnie decided to delve further into his solo side and began in earnest to write new material with the hope of producing a solo album.

Enter Grammy nominated producer, Dino Maddalone.

Together they crafted the arrangements and the hit sound that would be forever memorialized in the RONDEROSA RANCHO MOTEL CD.

Released in 1998, to stunning reviews, "The Ronderosa Rancho Motel" has been an internet favorite selling tens of thousands of copies in the intervening years.

Now Ronnie I is busy at work on a follow-up.

As tracks are finished they will be debuted here on the Ronderosa website.
